In 2015, Kate was invited to participate in the International Art Medal Symposium held in Kremnica, Slovakia.

Kate undertook a 1 month residency with 4 other international artists. During that time she produced a number of limited edition art medals. They were made in collaboration with the Museum of Coins and Medals and the National Bank of Slovakia. Kate worked with the Slovakian Mint. The mint in Kremnica struck this featured medal. It looks at the theme of old and new coinage.

All of Kates’s symposium medals are now held in the museum collections. They can be found in the Museum of Coins and Medals and the National Bank of Slovakia.
